The academic offerings for graduate studies include more than 70 academic programs leading to the master's degree and 12 doctoral degrees classified in the disciplines of Education, Business and Management Development, Psychology, Theological Studies and History.
Master's Degrees and Doctorates
We are the only University in the Caribbean with a Specialized School of Optometry. Currently, we are also the best grade in the Law revalidation thanks to the quality preparation we offer in our School.
Optometry School
The School of Optometry of the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico offers a bilingual program for the Doctor of Optometry degree, dedicated to achieving excellence in eye care. What makes our program bilingual is that our students and staff serve mainly Hispanic patients, so it is a requirement to speak Spanish, while the official language of the class materials is English.
That is why we are the only accredited bilingual program in the United States, the Caribbean and Latin America and we serve as a model for other optometric programs in Hispanic countries.
Faculty of Law
The Inter-American University School of Law seeks to provide graduates not only with technical-legal competence, but also with a broad knowledge of the history and development of Puerto Rican law and legal institutions, particularly those related to contemporary Puerto Rican society. This is necessary so that new lawyers can understand the relationship of the legal profession with the society they serve and participate in the improvement of the law.
